And we went WEEE WEEE WEEE!!!

It's that time of year again! The Pink Pig arrived at Macy's for a squealing good time for all! Having experienced the thrills of the Pink Pig - along with the Chunkies - for the first time last year - this year - it was Brian's turn to take a whirl on the Pig. With temps pushing 80 degrees - it was hardly the teeth chattering wait it was last year. We purchased our tickets - headed to the pig and got on within minutes. The kids were both super excited this year and I'm happy to report there were no tears! After two whirls around the track - we had to happy, waving happy and lots of memories - in PINK!

Smile for Santa!

It's our 5th visit with Santa - and FINALLY - we got a smile! William is all in this year and LOVED Santa. I told him whatever your sister does - just continue to smile at the camera - it worked! Madison cried when she was first brought it - but after a little pep talk from Santa, the pout disappeared and while we never got a smile - we didn't have tears either! Merry Christmas 2011! The "big requests" this year, William wants a garbage truck (yes seriously!) and Madison wants a princess!

Best Buds

I have to say, these two are truly best buddies! They love and care about each other, stick up for one another and comfort each other. I hope it stays that way always! Here's a cute snap of the two of them on a casual weekend.

Madalina My Ballerina

My little Madi has turned into quite the Dancing Queen. She completed her first course of Twinkle Two's Pre-Ballet. I'm really proud of her because she listened so well to her instructor and really mastered some of the moves! Her instructor even gave her special permission to take the next level Ballet & Tap class for 3 & 4 year olds. Every Monday she loved dressing up in her ballet outfit, tutu and ballet shoes and would tell everyone I Dance!

Boo - are you scared :)

Happy Halloween 2011! What a fun season it is! Both kids are now old enough to kinda understand Halloween! They had a fun timing turning into ghosts and scaring each other and carving pumpkins! This year, William dressed up as Lightening McQueen from Cars and Madison was Snow White. We went to our neighborhood Halloween party then the kids set out with their glow sticks to treat or treat around the neighborhood. This was Madi's first year trick or treating and she made it around the whole neighborhood and was ever the social butterfly chatting up all the neighbors and telling any kid who passed who much candy she had!!! William is our quiet, reserved child who keeps asking to move somewhere warmer so he can wear shorts again! It wasn't too cold tonight - probably in the 50's!!! So happy Halloween 2011 - what a night - it's so fun now that the kids are old enough to enjoy it!

Trick or Treat

The kiddies got to test drive their Halloween Costumes on Wednesday night. They wore them to choir practice. William decided to be Lightening McQueen and Madison wanted to be a Princess so we settled on Snow White - since she kinda looks the part. They are both very excited to dress up again on Monday and go Trick or Treating around the neighborhood. They are pictured here with a little Mermaid Princess friend - Kendall our next door neighbor who is the same age as Madison!

Flashback Friday

Wow - how fast a year goes. This is my sweet William today 4 - and flashing back to a year - in the twilight of his toddler years at 3.

Say Cheeeese!

Mommy finally scheduled "an activity" for herself! A photography class! I'm sure you all can see how much I love taking pictures! Even though we have an SLR Digital Camera - I've never taken it off the automatic setting - so in other words - I had no clue what this camera could do! In my class I learned all about three main functions of the camera - ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed. After lots of practice shots and some coaching from my classes - I'm beginning to get the hang of the manual settings and having lots more fun with my camera. Hmmmm - think I'll be asking for a new camera accessories for Christmas! Here are some of my favorite shots of my little subjects!

TO INFINITY & BEYOND!!!!

Since the kids are so close in age - it's fun to dress them in matching outfits. Looking at a picture in our house of the matching outfits, William once commented, I'm wearing a blue shirt with a crab and so is Madison - we match - that's how people know she's my sister!!! William got some Buzz Lightyear PJs for his birthday and had a blast running around the house yelling To Infinity and Beyond!!! So Madison started asking for a Buzz suit too. We tried to get her some Jessie (from Toy Story) PJs but she insisted on Buzz. So here are my two little Goof-balls - two little partners in crime - and a brother and sister who truly like each other and love each - To Infinity AND BEYOND!

FLASHBACK!

This time last year Madison was 18 months old. We were trying to figure out all of her stomach troubles and learned she was allergic to milk, soy, oats, peanuts, tree-nuts and watermelon! A year later we are doing great - adjusting well to a new diet and not missing a beat!

ROAR! William's 4!!!

I can't believe my baby is 4! WOW - no more baby, no more toddler, just an official big boy! And big he is getting! William weighs in at 48 pounds and is 43 3/4 inches tall. He's almost half my weight and 2/3 my height and he's only 4! He's wearing a size 5 or 6 and his shoes are a 12.5 XXW! He's not my Lil Chunky anymore - he's getting tall and slimming down (lost 3 pounds since summer!) but still very solid!
We celebrated his birthday with some of our neighbors and close friends! We had pizza and a specially requested Spinosaurus Cake! Everyone had a great time and William was very proud to be FOUR!

Berry Patch Farms

It was a perfect Fall Day so we headed up to the Berry Patch Farms in Woodstock, GA - only a 15 minute drive from our house for a hayride and some pumpkin picking! It was so nice to go during the week - we had the place almost to ourselves! We said hi to the farm animals, took a hayride and walked through the pumpkin patch! Fall is one of our favorite times of the year in Georgia! Beautiful crisp weather, pretty foliage and pumpkins galore!
