Madalina My Ballerina

My little Madi-Cakes - more sass and spunk than sugar and spice - did show her sweet side today with her first ballet class. My little sporty spice who can run and jump and kick a ball better than most boys is also my little dancing queen! So we donned the tutu - our ballet tights (we ripped the first pair to shreds) and our tiny little ballet shoes and became Madalina the Ballerina for 30 minutes. She's in the class with 7 other little girls - most almost 3 - and my little Madalina had a blast! The girl has got some moves and she really enjoyed herself. So maybe ballet will add just a little bit of sugar to my spicy, sassy girl!

PRE-K!

William started his first day of pre-k today! What a big boy - I just can't believe he is growing up so fast! He did very well on his preschool review this summer so they recommended Pre-K for him. He is in a class where most of the kids have late birthdays like he does. So next year we will be doing kindergarten - but because of his late birthday - we will do kindergarten again in the public school. Since they won't let him start public kindergarten next year because he misses the Sept 1st deadline! Oh the joys of late birthdays. He will get a good, solid foundation which is what we want for him. William - you are on your way!

Day at the Farm

We spent the day at Tanglewood Farm with our neighbor Kendall! It was a great day visiting the animals - but it was soooo HOT! We even visited early in the morning -but by the end of the visit - we were all pouring sweat! Madi just loved the goats and really loved chasing them around - especially the baby goats! She even picked up one of the babies and said - Mommy - look! The Mommy Goat apparently wasn't too pleased and head butted ME on the back of the leg! So I had to tell my kid to let her kid go! We visited the Baby Doll Sheep and the mini ponies and the mini donkeys and just couldn't take anymore of the heat! She we had our pony ride and went back to the car for a nice cool drink! Ahhh - summer in Georgia - it's a hot one!
